Q
What are your biggest challenges with product pricing in dropshipping? I’m new to Shopify and curious to learn more about the challenges stores face when it comes to pricing your products and keeping them competitive in the market.
- Do you find it tough to keep up with competitors’ prices?
- How do you balance profitability with competitive pricing?
- What tools or strategies have you found helpful—or where do you still struggle?
Thanks in advance!

I use Shopify for my side project, but my main job involves running a webshop for a large company using a heavy and expensive PDM/CRM system. While it has its redundancies, it offers the essential tools we need.
To answer your question: For my daytime job, we "benchmark" our prices. This means analyzing our top three competitors and adjusting our prices accordingly. When working with fast delivery dropshipping suppliers, it’s essential to stay competitive while also ensuring profitability. Tools like price tracking software can help you monitor competitor prices effectively.
