Stop looking at the little picture...a bit of advice

July 22 , 2024

Yep you read that right fuck all of this bullshit about funnels that you hear every guru talk about. Guess what EVERYTHING you do is a funnel. There is so much hype about funnel this funnel that, guess what folks everything you do is a funnel, have a website, that's a funnel, have an email marketing set up, that's a funnel, have social media accounts, that's a funnel. Everything you do is a funnel so stop buying into the hype about funnels what you need to actually start doing is building yourself a flywheel.

The biggest problem with funnels is that it leaves a ton of money on the table. A flywheel on the other hand doesn't leave money on the table. It actually brings in more money than a funnel will.

Now what is a flywheel you ask? Its a fancy marketing term that we marketers like to make us sound all wise and knowable, that is simply word of mouth. Now a flywheel is customer oriented and this is how you stand out. You don't need some gimmick or flash product (though the product helps lol) you can sell the same thing another company is selling and still make more money than them. How you ask?

It's simple, become customer oriented. Everything you do is aimed at not only helping the customer but making sure they feel they are seen and heard. You answer any and all email (minus the stupid trolls and so called shopify experts) with in 48 hours, I always aim for 24 hours but no more than 48 hours. As a matter of fact you can improve your flywheel with a fvie email chain after they buy your product.

First Email: A simple thank you for your purchase and a reminder that it can take 3 to five days to process the order thought we do aim to shorten that when the bank allows us

Second Email: As soon as you place the order you send this email off that says: Hello, First name (always address your customer by first name) we hope this email finds you in good health and you are having a great day we just wanted to let you know that our team of expects are now hand picking and packing your product (name of the product if you want to go that extra step) to triple check that you get the best quality, once it has been shipped we will give you a tracking number.

Third Email: This is addressed as always to the person's first name, a thank you for trusting us with your hard earned money we are glad to inform you that your package is on route to you, here is your tracking number.

Fourth Email: Gets sent out the day that the order has arrived at its destination. This one is a simple thank you and we hope you enjoy your product if you have any questions or comments please do not hesitate to reach out to us at (give them your email address again)

Fifth Email: This one goes out 2 weeks after the customer has had their package, once again Hello customer's first name, we are hoping you are enjoying your purchase, did you know you can do this (or that) with your product, give them a tip on how to use it or how to get the best results or pair it with a shirt or whatever, we would also apricate if you gave our product a review, as a small thank you for your time and your trust here is a 10% discount for your next purchase. (this will incentive them to leave a review without you coming right out and saying hey we will pay you for your review!)

Now the next thing you do to get your flywheel spinning is in ALL of your social media posts AND ads, is you respond to the person, you call them out by their username. And you don't just like it you actually give them genuine reply back. You answer ALL posts, the good and the bad (once again ignoring the trolls) and you make it genuine not some generic reply of thank you and that's it.

Now the reason you are going to do all of this time-consuming stuff is that this will actually make your target market feel like they are actually being seen as a person not as just a number. They will think to themselves, "Holy shit this brand actually cares about my input! They see ME and they HEAR me!'

Your target market will than go to your website, one person will than love your website and your product descriptions (hint here keep your titles to 60 to 75 characters in length, product descriptions between 150 to 300 words max, meta descriptions no more than 175 characters in length) and buy your product. This person than will tell their family and friends (even those friends online that they will never meet in real life) about this amazing brand and product they found.

This customer's friends and family will hear all about your brand and curiosity will get the better of them so they will start checking out your website as well as your social media. They may even leave a comment on your post/ad and see that you respond to them as well (again using their username) and one of these new people buy the same product, and then go to THEIR friends and family and start to rave about this product and your brand.

This is how your flywheel gets started, soon with very little work from you the flywheel will spin faster and faster and it will continue to spin on it's own.

Now there is a warning with this so pay attention to this! A flywheel will spin much faster in reverse than it will going forward! So do NOT piss off your target market. Pay attention to what they are saying, don't say there is no refund sorry but I have stolen your money and run off, be genuine with them , if you fuck up own that fuck up apologize and make it right. If someone bad mouths your brand ask them how you can improve it, but do not get into an argument with them always be polite to them. If you piss them off word of mouth spreads faster when its all negative, it will spin so fast it will burn your brand to the ground before you can say oh shit!

Yes you are going to get negative reviews, part of business, but address these negative reviews, don't hide from them, learn from them and own them to improve your brand.

I really should have done a video on this lol. But there you go some advice for you to learn from and hopefully actually take to heart.
